C501 is an environmentally friendly, cost-effective absorbent product that meets Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards for hazardous spill control and disposal. Whether it’s oil, chemical or bio-hazardous, you need protection. C501 is highly effective against a variety of spills, in any situation.
About Klexall C501
C501 is a polymer-enhanced hybrid spill absorption and solidification product. It was developed for one of the largest logistics companies in the world, which needed a single product to pick up and bond any type of liquid spill. Our extensive formulation resulted in Klexall (C501), which is capable of absorbing and bonding all types of liquids from hydrocarbons, as well as water-based, acid- and alkaline-based spills.
C501 has been used to bond and immobilize over a million chemical spills across the country with excellent results. Its high degree of effectiveness reduces the amount of the product necessary to solidify spills, which makes it very economical to use. This results in a reduction in the amount of waste to transport and bury, further reducing remediation costs.
To fully solidify the liquid normally requires one pound of C501 to 15 pounds of spilled liquid (1:15). It’s recommended to test a small sample for predictable rate usage. Pick up ratio and speed of solidification vary with the type of liquid being bonded, along with the number of volatiles remaining, temperatures and the viscosity of the liquid.
